In this video work, a creature in text form tells about the search for traces of those who left it behind. Memories are searched through in the form of video fragments of the celestial bodies of our solar system and beyond. The video material was produced at the Archenhold Observatory in collaboration with André Hartmann, amateur astronomer and member of the Friends of the Observatory.

This short movie shows a small türkish town at the coast of the black see from the eyes of a german turkish visitor. The line between his own impressions and the dad's as well as the family's memories blurr. The region is changing and still very much connected to Germany.

This work addresses the sun from various angles. At first, with an anthropocentric perspective: industry (that springs from the energy of the sun, and light), electricity and religion. Then, the view widens: in the scaling of space, the perspective of human beings becomes less significant. The light and life-giving sun can take this significance away very quickly. Finally, the work examines our perception and time itself.
